Footwork Media at the 2026 world cup
35 shows, 43 days, 10 flights, and 6 cities - Footwork Media were delighted to be part of the Men in Blazers Great American road trip this summer, producing Morning Cupdate.
Morning Cupdate was a daily 15-minute podcast and YouTube show, your one-stop shop for everything you needed to know each match day of the World Cup. We produced the show for a 6:30am release every morning, which meant a round-the-clock production schedule with late nights blurring into sunrise edits. It was a monumental effort from the team, from researching and scripting, to filming, to editing the podcast, to creating engaging short-form video content for Instagram and TikTok.
The show covered everything from the World Cup in 15 minutes: not only did we provide in-depth, engaging game previews, but we also worked flexibly to respond to the latest news and biggest stories. Plus, every story included an element of fun, meaning we were telling stories which entertained and educated the listener and viewer.
Every morning, the show was filmed on Men in Blazers’ big orange bus, built by the Home Depot. We also filmed in the field, capturing content with fans from around the world in some of America’s most iconic locations.
We loved working with the Men in Blazers team and our incredible host Betty Glover.
You can watch Morning Cupdate on the Men in Blazers YouTube channel - and we were thrilled to receive some wonderful feedback from viewers.
