In July 2023, we started The Upshot Podcast with Jack and Zach from the hugely successful newsletter, The Upshot.
The show pulls back the curtain on your favourite sports and dives into all the stuff the major broadcasters wouldn’t touch with a bargepole: drunken antics, dressing room squabbles and simmering sexual tension of the world’s biggest sporting superstars.
From Jermaine Pennant to Tiger Woods, the podcast breaks down the stories of some of sport’s most iconic names, but this show isn’t about what the do whilst the cameras are on, it’s about what they get up to when the eyes of the world aren’t watching them.
The podcast was an overnight success and now pulls in 300,000 listeners per month on audio platforms alone. Since 2025, Footwork Media has overseen The Upshot’s pivot to video, as we produce video versions of their episodes as well as audio.
